TEXT:
This course will cover material in Chapters 1-11 and will be supplemented with considerable additional material. The text can be purchased in the bookstore. You might also consider purchasing the Student Solution Manual that accompanies this text. Please note that it will be extremely beneficial if you purchase hardcopies of the Powerpoint Lectures from the bookstore. A PDF-based formula sheet can be obtained by clicking on Formula Sheet. Tentative Midterm test dates are Friday, October 19th and Wednesday, November 21st. Tests cannot be given at other times, except in cases of illness or other emergencies and these cases must be confirmed with notes from medical doctors or the Dean. Supplemental examinations will not be offered.
ASSIGNMENTS:
Class assignments must be handed in on the due date. Late assignments will not be accepted unless special permission has been granted. Students are encouraged to work in groups when doing assignments. However students MUST NOT copy the assignment solutions of other students.
